IP20 non-wateproof indoor use white light COB LED strips are suitable for home & residential installations, under cabinet lighting, kitchen lighting, room lighting, ceiling lighting, etc. IP67 waterproof COB white light strips can be used in outdoor environments, path lighting, architectural lighting, etc.
This white light addressable COB strip is powered by 24VDC and consumes 12W per meter. It requires a 24V SPI controller and a 24V plug-in power supply or a 24V switching power supply (minimum 72W capacity) to drive a 5m COB strip light.
Comes with 3pin JST signal connector and 2pin power cable, allowing quick connection of multiple rolls of light strips. Every 50mm can be cut. 3-Pin addressable LED strip parts are here. A separate power supply is recommended every five meters

Are COB LED Strip Brighter?

Compared with traditional light strips, COB light strip has higher brightness, uniform light without dark areas, and no glare, which is safer for the eyes.

Do COB LEDs get hot?

All strip lights, including COBs, are designed to prevent excessive heat from damaging the lighting strips. The circuit board functions as a heatsink to take heat from the individual LEDs and transfer it to the surface that the strip is attached. Therefore, COB light strips are safe to use in temperature-sensitive locations because of their effective heat dissipation. For some higher-power LED strip lights, it is recommended to attach an additional heatsink, such as an aluminum channel, to make the most efficient heat transfer.

What is the lifetime of COB LEDs?

The longevity of a COB LED is determined by how they are used as well as how much heat they are exposed to. A COB LED has an average rated lifetime of 50,000 hours.

How can I tell if a COB LED strip is of good quality?

You should look at three main characteristics:

1.The thickness of the strip. It should be at least two layers, and preferably three. This is because you can be sure that it will have more copper, and that it will not overheat.

2.On the tape. To make sure that it will be well secured and that it will not break on impact, you should check that the tape is of a recognised brand and quality.

3.The quality of the chips. They should also be encapsulated in good condition.

How much power does a COB LED strip consume?

To find out how much power it consumes, you should look at its power. The fact that it is COB will have no impact on its consumption.

How can I install it?

COB LED strips are usually more delicate, as they contain a large number of chips. For this reason, we recommend that you have them installed by a qualified professional who is used to handling them with care.
